Our Story
Why IMN?
When I was growing up, there was little to no awareness of Gilgit-Baltistan beyond a stereotyped perception of this picturesque tourist getaway.
We needed a platform for voices within our communities to have agency over the narratives portrayed about them to the broader public. From this emerged Ibex Media Network and its mandate to amplify traditionally marginalized perspectives.
From a small family-run studio to now, one of Pakistan’s largest growing digital news platforms, we continue to strive for more equitable media reporting and representation.

Consisting of over 35 platforms, DigiMAP aims to set the precedent for a thriving digital media ecosystem with a shared stake in prioritizing public interest and freedom of expression in Pakistan.
